Values

What does your clinic do to make the space welcoming and inclusive for LGBQ-identified patients?

We are predominantly gay therapists who are committed to creating safe & welcoming space for ALL of our clients.

What does your clinic do to make the space welcoming and inclusive for trans- and genderqueer-identified patients?

We have gender neutral bathrooms and we are careful in selection of our artwork to avoid gender stereotypes.

Please describe the ways in which you are involved in LGBTQ community outside of your practice (ex: Do you attend conferences on working with LGBTQ clients? Are you involved in local organizations that serve these communities? etc).

In addition to consulting with a variety of LGBTQ therapist groups, I also facilitate an ongoing group called QueerSpirit focusing on the spiritual gifts and experience of gay, bi and gay-identified Trans men.

What else do you want potential patients to know about you or your clinic?

I do not direct bill any insurance plans at this time, but I can facilitate out of network reimbursement. I operate on a sliding scale basis and have a few spots reserved for low fee clients. I work from psychodynamic and depth psychology perspectives primarily with young adults, adults and elders, specializing in the areas anxiety & depression, LGBT issues, and recovery from addiction. I am particularly interested in the integration of psychology and spirituality. I welcome consideration of my clients’ religious and spiritual experience as part of the work. I am open to many ways of understanding this level of experience and I have no expectation that clients hold any particular faith perspective or, for that matter, any whatsoever.
